If you own a Asus Zenfone smartphone then this news should cheer you up as the smartphone maker has not left its latest series of smartphones with the legacy pre-installed Android OS. The company today shared its plan of rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade for selected devices which is expected to be done in March 2016.
Here Zenfone 5 , Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4.5 owners will be disappointed for time being however the later series of Zenfone 2 (which holds a significant market share as Zenfone 5) is in the list of devices to receive Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade. Other smartphones are expected to receive the upgrade in April 2016 later this year.

What to expect with the new update:
Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail
apps will automatically be included with the Android M update. These
apps will replace three ZenUI apps—ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS
Calendar—as the default apps
in the Android M version of ZenUI if you restore to factory settings
after the update. However if you have restored factory settings and still want to use ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar you can still use these app by downloading from Google Play Store.
As of writing this post we checked update for ASUS Zenfone Zoom but it is not available as of now, we will update this post as soon as we get the update meanwhile if you own any other phone in the list and you see the upgrade coming do let us know by commenting on the post.
