WudStay,
the online marketplace for standardized hotels, has announced its entry
into the Long Stays Segment. The company will leverage its existing
expertise and brand reputation of providing high quality standardized
hotels to enter the Paying Guest Accommodation Space. Starting with 50
PGs in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kota, WudStay is targeting
to double its inventory in the next three months. WudStay will expand
its PG operations to Jaipur, Pune, Manipal, Noida and Hyderabad in the
targeted duration.
The
highly unorganized nature of the PG market in India is a major cause
for concern for individuals who are looking to find homes in new cities.
Challenges such as poor location, high brokerage and poor facilities
are a huge cause of frustration and discomfort to their customers.
WudStay targets to establish a Gold Standard in the Unorganized Long
Stays Segment. A WudStay representative will conduct day-to-day checks
on the properties listed under its brand name to ensure quality of
services. Keeping in mind the comfort of woman, WudStay has also ensured
that female executives are available round the clock on their helpline
number 9555900500.
Excited about the expansion, Prafulla Mathur, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, WudStay said, “A
huge section of the Indian population move out of their home cities for
work or education. Due to the un-organized nature of the space, they
find themselves struggling to find decent accommodation for months. Our
expertise of standardizing hotels will really help us solve the problem
of poor quality PG Accommodations. As with our hotel business, we aim to
set a Gold Standard in the PG space.’’
Commenting on the choice of market, he added,
‘’We are targeting to take our PG accommodation to cities that attract a
huge migrant population. These are essentially cities with large
corporate presence or with multiple educational faculties.’’
Consumers can book WudStay PGs on the WudStay website, www.wudstay.com. The PGs will also soon be listed across the company’s mobile applications for Android, iPhone and Windows Phone.
