Nearly after 2 years of Canvas 4 launch, Micromax launched the successor to dubbed Canvas 5. Canvas 5 is priced very competitively at Rs 11,999/- which goes on sale from today through online as well as offline channels.

Device is power packed in terms of specifications and is first to sport 3 gigs of RAM from Micromax, Canvas 5 is powered by 64 bit 1.3 GHz Octa Core Processor, 3 GB DDR3 RAM , sporting 5.2 inch full HD display the device comes with a metal frame with stream lined design. The device is powered by 2900 mAh strong battery to juice it all the day. The device measures 148 x 73.60 x 8.30 (mm).
On camera department , the front and rear camera are same in numbers as of Canvas 4 i.e. 5MP and 13 MP respectively. However the tech under the hood has evolved and rear camera sports Samsung 3M2 image sensor.

For connectivity front the phone supports dual sim (GSM + GSM) , 3G, 4G connectivity, FM, Bluetooth and Wifi as is the norm. The phone comes with 16 GB inbuilt storage and can be expanded upto 64 GB via micro SD card.

Canvas 5 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box and will be receiving Android Marshmallow update at some point promised Micromax. Device's camera offers a Picture in Picture feature which allows you to capture photo using rear and front cameras simultaneously. Other software touch includes smart wake feature which lets you launch apps right from the locked screen through gestures.
