Low Budget 3G phone: Its Bolt S301 now from Micromax after Bolt D303

Micromax launched its second budget 3G smartphone from Bolt series , the Bolt S301 after Bolt D303 was announced yesterday. Micromax Bolt series is known for its low price and decent specifications packed smartphones with few devices being the cheapest device for the specifications and features offered at time of their launch.

Bolt S301 is launched for just Rs 2899/- which costs 600 Rs less than its sibling launched just a day ago. Bolt S301 comes with 1 GHz single core processor, 512 MB RAM and sports a 3.5 inch FWVGA display with 480x854 screen resolution. The smartphone comes with 1.3 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP camera secondary camera. 

As D303 , the newly launched device also runs on Android KitKat 4.4 which is promised to get Lollipop update via FOTA soon. S301 packs in 1200 mAh battery and claims to provide 240 hours of stand by time and 4 hours of talk time.

For storage S301 comes with 4 GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 16 GB via external SD card. The device will come prelaoded with apps like Snapdeal, Quikr and Scandid.

With a strong proposition around 3G, the Micromax sells close to 1.5 million 3G smartphones every month and continues to be leaders in sub 7.5k category. Catering extensively to the first time movers from feature phones to smartphones, the company enjoys a dominant market share of 25% in the 3G category in India, making it consumer’s favourite choice for the 3G smartphone.

Bolt S301 will be available for Rs 2899/- in Black and White colours. For those who have not heard about Bolt D303, which comes for Rs 3499/- gives you an extra CPU core, 1.3 MP rear camera, 0.5 inch larger display, 100 mAh of extra battery juice and unique patented Swipe feature to translate and transliterate for just Rs 600 extra.
