Vote for your favorite emerging bands to help them win Sennheiser TOP 50-India’s first music contest

Last month we brought you the news of Top 50 Contest's first edition by Sennheiser in partnership with Amazon.in. The contest is live now and you can vote for your favourite emerging brand and ensure their entry into top 100. A total of 218 brands have registered for the contest, out of which 133 bands were short listed for Round 2, 33 bands will be eliminated in Round 2 after which final Top 50 will be selected from remaining 100. The top 50 brands will be judged by Sennheiser Artists Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Salim-Sulaiman.

We have great talent in the country which needs nurturing and we are committed to providing such a platform for the bands. The entries have been extremely good and it was difficult choosing the 133 bands from the entries we received. It is heartening to see that we have created a platform for the emerging and semi-professionals who deserve worldwide recognition and we wish them all a great luck for the next level. The contest will only get tougher now.“

The 133 shortlisted bands can appeal for online voting generated by their fans, which would account for 40% of the weightage and the 60% weightage would be given to the Jury's decision to help them reach the Top 100. The Top 100 bands will then submit their music videos and answer a detailed questionnaire about their band. They can even upload snippets of their rehearsals and recordings online to attract more fans and catch the judges’ attention. And the Top 50 will be narrowed down and ranked by the Sennheiser artists, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Salim-Sulaiman.

The winning band will not only be awarded with the latest evolution wireless D1 microphones and Sennheiser headphones for the entire team, but also get an envious endorser deal for two years by Sennheiser, recording sessions at Flying Carpet Productions in Mumbai with Ashish Manchanda and a chance to meet Sennheiser artists Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Salim Sulaiman along with Gift Cards from Amazon.in. All the Top 50 will be awarded trophies and discount coupons from Sennheiser and Amazon.in.
