Micromax announced launch of its latest smartphone Canvas Selfie on 8th December 2014 in an event attended by stars of IPTL (Indian Premier Tennis League). Selfie craze is the latest buzz happening in smartphone industry and every one wants to cash in the opportunity we have selfie phones from all sort of manufacturers like Samsung, Lava, Xolo, HTC etc. Micromax has entered into the battle with a 13 MP camera on front sporting with LED Flash support and Sony sensor. Rear camera comes with the same specifications and sensor fitted. Phone was launched by Mr. Vineet Taneja , CEO Micromax with IPTL stars Sania Mirza, Ana Ivanovic, Kristina Mladenovic and Daniela Hantuchova.

As the name suggests main feature of the smartphone is its 13 MP front camera which is supported by some really good features on software front. Inbuilt tools in the camera comes with features like Eye Enhancement to brighten and widen your eyes, Face Slimming which helps give you high cheek bone effect and get rid of double chin, Skin Smoothening which helps in removing all blemishes, Teeth Whitening for perfectly white shiny teeth, Remove Oil to get rid of oil patches and there are other options too for make up effects such as mascara, eye-shadow, blush and lip gloss.
