Flashback

One day online shopping deals originated in 2005 in form of Cyber Monday in U.S. which comes after Thanksgiving holiday in U.S. Gradually it became popular in many other countries such as Canada, Japan, Australia and U.K.

First Great Online shopping festival was held in December 2012 which received mix reviews from the consumers. GOSF 2013 was planned for 3 days unlike the one from previous year, but due to huge traffic GOSF site got crashed and was down for around 36 hours, as a result it was extended for 4th day.

Recently Flipkart has also hosted its biggest sale ever touted as Big Billion Day which brought a huge amount of traffic to the site, but there were several issues faced by the consumers and Flipkart had to issue an apology letter for the inconvenience caused.

So are you ready to take advantage of the big sale? Happy Shopping..
