Micromax ropes in Hugh Jackman as brand ambassador

Micromax, the second largest smart phone seller in India (as per IDC reports for Q2) has signed Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador. Hugh Jackman , best known for his role in X-men series movies would be promoting Micromax Canvas series handsets. Micromax has overtaken other major brands in terms of sale in Indian market and it is trailing just behind global leader Samsung. Micromax is now prepared to expand its territory and this collaboration eyes on market overseas. Jackman will be seeing promoting Micromax's upcoming Canvas phone i.e. Canvas Turbo.

Micromas Canvas series is enjoying overwhelming success in India which began with Canvas2 smart phone and after that Canvas HD proved to be a major milestone offering 1.2 GHz quad core cpu, 5' Full HD display, 1 GB RAM , 8 MP rear camera. Canvas HD revolutionized the smartphone market after which market became flooded with quad core smart phones.

Micormax's new Canvas Turbo is believed to come up with Quadcore processor with First full HD display as per leaked reports from MMXNewscaster. While market already seems saturated with phones having Mediatek quadcore processor and 5 inch HD display , Micromax needs to think beyond this concept and come up with something new and fresh and the competition is increasing day by day with entry of new players in this segment.

As it did for Canvas4 , Micromax has a launched a website to promote its new handset. Canvas Turbo website is now up. At time of writing website has image of its Hugh Jackman at left with his hands posing as Namaste with both hands separated and a handset (Canvas Turbo) in between them. In right side message "Cavas Turbo Coming Soon" is displayed.
