Track your misplaced android device with Google's devicemanager

We often struggle to locate our gadgets specially mobile phones when we keep them at some place and then forget to keep them back in our pocket. Generally we call from other phones to to our own number to locate them with Ringtone but if the phone is on vibration mode or silent then its a big challenge to locate the device.

Google has come up with a solution for all of us with its device manager service.

Prerequisite:- Android phone with active internet connection.

How does it works?

Now whenever you have misplaced your android phone just login in google and goto https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager.

You will see your device's approx location on Map with message such as "Last located at 22:50
Pragathi Enclave, Miyapur, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh 500049, India - Accurate to 880 metres
Last used 17 August 2013"
, and option to Ring your phone or Erase entire data from phone in case stolen.

In case you select to Ring, your device will ring at full volume for 5 minutes, you can press power button once you find your dear droid :).

This way you can find your phone when it is nearby or safeguard your data if unfortunately your device is stolen.
