War of giving away quad core smart phone at low price has already started when Micromax Canvas HD had competitors as Lava, Karbonn launching quad core phones in the same price segment, it is more intensified with entry of one more player 'Wickedleak'. Wickedleak announced Wammy Titan II with 5.3 inch IPS display running Android Jelly Bean, powered by 1.2 GHz MTK6589 quad core processor ( same as Micromax Canvas HD and Lava Xolo Q800) , 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, other notable feature of Wammy Titan II are 12 MP rear camera , 5 MP front camera, dual sim support, expandable memory up to 32 GB, GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi, 2300 mAH battery and all this is offered for just Rs 13,990/-.

Not long ago Micromax Canvas HD was launched and was the hot topic in industry to be first budget quad core smartphone. Micromax Canvas HD offered 5 inch IPS display, 4 GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, 1.2 GHz quad core processon, 8 MP camera (rear), 2 MP (front) camera all this for just Rs 13990/- but limited supply has taken away the first mover advantage as other competitors are also providing similar hardware specs at similar or even low price and are widely available.

After Micromax , Lava also announced its quad core smartphone Xolo Q800 for Rs 12,499 with the same specs as Micromax Canvas HD except screen of 4.5 inches and 2300 mAH battery as compared to Canvas HD's 2000 mAH Battery. While Micromax Canvas HD is still not available to customers who have ordered on or after 18th Feb, Xolo Q800 is widely available on online stores, but Wickedleak is set to intensify the competition in market with its superb specs.
