Design:
On front of the device there are no hard buttons , black strip surrounds 7" display with Earpiece in middle of top and 2 MP front camera near right top corner. Rear cover is brush metal finished which gives it a premium look. On back there are two slots one for each micro SD card and SIM Card (Regular SIM Card) at left bottom. Speakers are placed at right side on the bottom. Slightly above the bottom line there is a small reset button depressed into the cover which can be used with a pointed object to reset at times your tablet is not responding. Rear cover is of grey color and carries Company's logo and name along with the device name in white color. On top left there is a 5 MP rear camera. Xonpad 7 is just 9.7 mm thick from the sides and is easy to hold with slight curvy design. On the left edge there are power buttons , Volume up and down buttons and one Escape button which is quite new from other tablets. On right edge of the device there is no button. USB slot and Audio Jack are on top edge at left and right side respectively. On the bottom edge there are two mics one each to capture voice and noise cancellation.
Overall its a classy mix of right design and metallic build which is appealing and easy to handle.

Display:
Xonpad 7's display is quite bright and supports wide viewing angle, it comes with a resolution of 1280*800 pixels which is quite good for this price range. Gaming and multimedia experience is also good in indoor conditions however its not that clear in open. We tried some full HD videos on YouTube and the results were good. Touch response from screen is also very good.
Camera:
Like other tablets from all other companies , Xonpad 7 too doesn't boast of very high end camera. 5 MP rear camera comes with auto focus feature, images are better than expected. Front camera is not that impressive but it does its job as expected. If you are looking for a decent camera Tablet take this device in consideration. At this price range even 5 MP rear camera with AF is good considering other available tablets in market.

Software:
Xonpad 7 runs on stack Android 4.2.2 and have minimal customization elements from Oplus. Oplus has done a good job in customizing on screen soft buttons. These soft buttons are significantly small and it may take some time to get used to it specially if you have used Samsung tabs in past. Apart from regular back button, Home button and multitasking button, Oplus has added volume - and volume + buttons to extreme left and right. There is small icon for options which displays system settings and manage apps options when clicked but what we liked most is the screenshot capture button which enables user to take screenshot at any time which is very thoughtful as its very inconvenient to hold multiple buttons simultaneously on device of this genre.
On applications front it comes preloaded basic applications such as native browser, chrome browser, Facebook, Google search, play store etc. Snapdeal, AngryBird, CandyCrush Saga are few other applications which comes pre-installed on device.
Gaming and Performance:
We found gaming experience good on the device with light weight games such as Angry Birds, Temple Run2, Subway Surfers etc. However in Asphalt 8 we noticed a lag at few places. Xonpad 7 may not impress a hard core gamer but its good for average gamers at this price range.
Device is pretty decent with multitasking and we didn't observed any issues with multiple applications opened together. Once you are in an application on full screen three tiny dots are displayed at bottom of the screen where you can tap to activate on screen buttons viz. volume +/-, back, Home and Screenshot capture.
Memory:
There is internal flash storage of 16 GB out of which 3 GB is utilized by OS and other pre-installed apps. 13 GB is available for user and there is microSD card slot which support upto 32 GB storage.
Battery:
Xonpad 7 is fueled by 3500 mAh battery which gives a decent backup if you intend to use it as a phone, while if you use this device for gaming or watching videos then battery can support you about 8 to 10 hours.
Verdict:
Xonpad 7 is not a great device but its not bad either. With mid-range pricing device offers you so much which you may not get from other tabs. Xonpad 7 is a perfect value for money device at this time which delivers what is expected from it. If you are tight on budget and looking for decent specs Tablet then Xonpad 7 is for you.
