Finally much awaited Micromax Canvas 4 is officially launched by Micromax for Rs 17999/- as predicted by many earlier. Micromax Canvas 4 comes with some of the gesture control features such as Blow to unlock screen, look away, pin video. Canvas 4 comes with Aluminium body wrap, 5 inch HD IPS display.
Canvas 4 is powered by the same 1.2 GHz quadcore mediatek processor as in Canvas HD, this latest Canvas runs on Android 4.2.1 with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, storage can be expanded thru micro SD Card. However it disappoints on battery front with a battery of 2000 mAh in contrast to the expected longer life battery.
Micromax has done a good job on camera front this time, providing 13 MP rear camera, with antishake technology, Sony sensors, 4x optical zoom, horizontal and vertical panorama features, burst shot . Coming to front camera - Front camera is of 5 MP to give better video call experience.
Canvas 4 also supports dual window as Samsung's Galaxy Grand , Canvas 4 supports pin video option to let user pin any video to watch and simultaneously do other tasks in other half window. It supports gesture control also such as play or pause a window when you look away from your phone or look back, Answer a call by just bringing the phone near to your ears.
Micromax claims to give firmware updates for Canvas 4 directly via FOTA.
